I’ve contributed to 2 startups to date. Below is a breakdown of the work completed.

Double GDP

Solo Product Designer for a privately funded startup. Before I joined the team, this global city management app had some contract design work but the UI was mostly engineer created. They were ready an upgraded user experience.

Product Manager Tasks

  • Create engineering tickets and epics (PRDs) with user stories on GitLab

  • Managed backlog and set sprints with Head of Engineering and Head of Product

  • Met with customers and Local Representatives for demos and feedback

Product Designer Tasks

  • Interviewed Local Representatives for customer feedback due to language barriers

  • Iterated and exchanged ideas with the engineers daily

  • Create swim lane charts comparing existing processes and new ideal workflows

  • Conducted several field studies clients for task analysis and documented findings in Gitlab

  • Created Figma design system based on standard MUI components

  • Audited existing Sketch libraries and imported or recreated composed or custom components

  • Audited and combined existing designs into a Figma library

  • Created Figma file templates

  • Documented design system in Gitlab

  • Led the initiative for reorganization of Gitlab documentation

  • Created Storybook frames for design system integration

  • UX audited system for component and pattern consistency

  • Developed UX strategy and 6 month roll out plan

  • Created a Figma design library of mockups for all existing pages for quick iterations

  • Restructured information architecture for all menus and validated with usability testing

  • Researched and updated the names of the pages so they would make sense when translated

  • Ran TAM calculations for realistic numbers of projected growth and market share to manage expectations

  • Created swim lane charts comparing existing (in other software) and ideal workflows

  • Created service blueprint to map out where the 3 user types intersect and how the service would work

  • Designed the logo and branding colors

  • Designed in Figma the basic elements and page layouts for a simple design system
